Returns

Our 30-day return policy means that after receiving your item, you have 30 days to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be in the same condition in which you received it, unused and unworn, with all tags attached and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label along with instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as perishable goods (for example, food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care products (such as beauty products).
We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.

If you have questions or concerns about a specific item, please contact us.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you received and, once the return has been accepted, place a new order separately.


14-Day Cooling-Off Period for the European Union

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is shipped within the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification.

As stated above, the item must be in the same condition in which you received it, unused, with all tags attached, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds

We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and let you know whether the refund has been approved or not.
If approved, you will automatically be refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Right of Withdrawal (Food Products – Italy / EU Law)

In accordance with applicable law (Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005 – Consumer Code), you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days from the date you receive the products, without providing any reason.

However, since these are food products, for hygiene and safety reasons, the right of withdrawal applies exclusively if:

  • The bottles are perfectly intact, sealed, and unopened.

  • The labels and safety seals are intact.

  • The product is stored in its original packaging.

Returns will not be accepted for opened bottles, unsealed products, or items with tampered safety seals.


How to Request a Return

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please send an email to ilsommolier@gmail.com indicating your order number and the items you wish to return.
We will provide you with the destination warehouse address (which may vary depending on the producer).

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Once the return has been received and the integrity of the goods verified, we will issue a refund within 14 days using the same payment method used for the purchase.


Damaged or Defective Products (Breakage)

If you receive a visibly damaged package or find one or more broken bottles upon opening:

  1. Immediately document the damage with photos (box and bottles).

  2. Contact us within 24 hours at ilsommolier@gmail.com, attaching the photos.

In this case, Il SommOlier will take full responsibility: we will arrange a free replacement shipment or issue a full refund, with no need for you to return the damaged items.
